Meeting Room 1 is a well-lit and ventilated room with a lot of daylight and a high ceiling. The room is suitable for meetings, workshops and other events for between 26 and 100 people, depending on the set-up. Meeting Room 1 is situated on the second floor and is easily accessible by lift. There is also a coffee machine and drinking water just outside the room. The meeting room was completely renovated during the summer of 2017 and is a contemporary and functional room.

NLA invited landscape architects from around the world to the IFLA World Congress COMMON GROUND in Oslo, with events spanning over three days. It was important to have professional venue organisers with whom we could have good dialogue throughout the entire planning stage, as well as a venue that was large enough and with enough conference rooms. We chose Oslo Congress Centre and are very happy with that choice!
It was challenging to plan to register and serve up to 1,500 participants at the same time in the foyer, but thanks to our joint efforts, we managed this in such a way that we received feedback saying the atmosphere was calm and pleasant and the execution was professional.
The venues and technical equipment worked perfectly. The solution with the Speaker Preparation Room was very important in order to guarantee the necessary flow and quality with up to 13 parallel sessions in three sections – and a total of over 250 professional presentations.
The staff served seasonal fresh fruit, biscuits and enough water, coffee and tea around the entire congress centre, which we are also very pleased with.
We have only received positive feedback from our participants, sponsors and partners and gladly share that feedback with you. Thank you so much for excellent good partnership.
Thank you for the fantastic support both before and after the Miljøledelsekonferansen in 2019. Oslo Congress Centre was very quick to reply to all inquiries and gave us a good degree of confidence during the planning stage. The staff was highly professional and it is clear that they have considerable experience handling both large and small requests.
It is also very positive that Oslo Congress Centre shows that it takes sustainability seriously. By offering certified Green Conferences, they have become climate leaders in practice. The chefs served a delicious vegetarian menu with a focus on local ingredients and even encouraged the re-use of glasses and mugs! Additionally, they made several good climate considerations when it comes to waste, plastic, energy and procurement.
We have run out of superlatives and wish to once again express our thanks for a fantastically implemented GRESS banquet. This year’s feedback is yet again exclusively positive.
When it comes to our latest event at Oslo Congress Centre, like in previous years, it was of exceedingly high quality with regard to the food, service and, last but not least, the logistics. These are three key conditions for a successful event.

You deliver on every level, from the site inspection in 2015 to three years of planning and details and five days of rigging and implementation.
The follow-up was excellent, we received assistance from everyone at OKS and the food service has been very good. With 900 participants at the most, we have seen how well the logistics work. They have control of all venue logistics and the technical aspects were dealt with professionally by Frode and his team. The people we worked with during the event, the receptionists and the janitors, were all pleasant, helpful and patient throughout the entire event. We owe you all a big thank you.
Nomiko uses Oslo Congress Centre for its own courses (avfallskurs.no) and as a course and conference organiser for other organisations. Our experiences with Oslo Congress Centre have been that they are professional in every way and that they solve the tasks equally well, whether there are eight or 350 participants at the event.
The participants specifically mentioned the good food. We would also like to mention the pleasant staff, who are competent and do exactly what is agreed. The technical equipment and technicians ensure a proper and safe implementation of sound and video aspects, so that we can focus on content and participants.
The Norwegian Hull Club held its first event at Oslo Congress Centre in the late summer of 2018 and we quickly noticed that they know what they’re doing.
We were interested in a solution-oriented professional event organiser in Oslo, who could take care of all aspects of our three-day event and had large enough venues. We ultimately chose Oslo Congress Centre and we are very pleased with that choice.
The venue was set up with round tables with tablecloths and flowers and the hall was a pleasant place to spend three days. We had a somewhat technically advanced programme and the technical aspects were perfect. Technician Frode was friendly, professional and assertive in finding the right solutions for us.

Our courses and conferences span over several academic fields, ranging from specific themes for a single profession to interdisciplinary courses and conferences over the course of two to three days. We were very pleased to have worked with Oslo Congress Centre (OKS) leading to our best conference ever. The best part of the collaboration was the kind, calm and very professional attitude of the OKS staff. The communication was always clear and there was a lot of flexibility. On the other hand, it was also clearly communicated what could not be done which avoided surprises during the conference.
The execution of the OKS staff during the conference was close to flawless. There were even no lines for coffee, food and toilets at peak moments which has always been the case at previous conferences.
The food quality was the best I have experienced in a conference centre for a group of over 1000 people. The OKS managed to serve a hot high quality main course to 1000 people which is very impressive.
The location of the OKS in the very city centre, so close to the train station and the airport train was great benefit to delegates but also in planning the conference.
I highly recommend working with the OKS. The strongest points are the great people, clear communication and the high standard of the food.
